Office 365 - Change Username

Ive just setup office365 with AD Sync and it works nicely but i didnt know about setting the default email address to be my one first so all the users have got [email protected] instead of [email protected]

 

Is there a way to change them all? None of the office365 accounts have been used yet so can i delete them all then let ad resync wth the new email domain?

I just found this googling something else and thought I would add an answer in case anybody else comes across this.

 

The default email address in 365 is taken from the Email Address field in active directory so as long as this is set correctly it will use [email protected] instead of @onmicrosoft.com. There are plenty of tools for bulk editing of active directory, my personal favorite is
