gmonks Posted October 9, 2012 Posted October 9, 2012 Hi, I have tried searching but found no posts with people's WSUS configuration. What do you guys think is a sensible amount of disk space to set aside for WSUS? It will only manage Windows XP , 7 and Office updates. Thanks in advance.
themightymrp Posted October 9, 2012 Posted October 9, 2012 Well our WSUS server is set as a downlink server of our ISP so we get what they provide. Currently our storage is 132Gb but that is with most options switched on
Michael Posted October 9, 2012 Posted October 9, 2012 Here's a guide I wrote how to setup WSUS. As for the options you wish to select, I'd set aside 30GB of space (as a guess). If you're running 2008 R2, you can more easily expand or shrink volumes 'on the fly' which is extremely useful. 1
