chrbb Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 Spent most of today trying to sort out problems on one of our office pcs. Three identical machines, same setup on it's own peer to peer network. One computer will randomly log it's user out of E1 and teachers2parents, every so often they get the internet error page - with the test your dns etc etc, but have other internet expolorer pages open and functional. At first I kind of dismissed it as a "I need a shiny new computer syndrome ", but have got more puzzled as the days have gone on. I've checked; event viewer - no network disconections other the one I forced by changing network sockets Ip config no different to two other computers IE settings identical network settings identical. Changed network socket Got office lady to try her E1 on spare laptop. Suggested she swop computers with other office lady for the morning - went down like lead balloon! Other than wipe her machine and start again - any ideas?

Wubbalubbadub Posted October 27, 2018 Posted October 27, 2018 Hate to be "that guy" but have you tried a different cable? YOu mention socket.. But i once spent a day and a half on-site with a customer that had similar issues and it turned out to be a crushed cable..
psydii Posted October 27, 2018 Posted October 27, 2018 Got to say, I’d be interested to hear what fixed this issue, or maybe the ticket is still open? [emoji23]
