Most people affected by the shineyness dont know about much other tech

on another note i had one of those reps on my door about 3 months ago and they were trying to sell me lovefilm 'free' for 6 months, I went through the whole talk etc and at the end she wanted my card details as I would have to pay £15 upfront and then be tied to a contract for a year..... my door was then closed.

Had one over the weekend. "Don't worry we're not Jovahs Witnesses" he says, "Don't bother, I'm already a subscriber" I said.

If they haven't got a list of subscribers in their area (doors not to knock on) and they're asking for credit card details on the doorstep, makes you wonder if they are actually from Amazon or if it's a scam...

It does sound like a scam. Why would an Internet-based company sell door-to-door?
