Remotely remove printer driver from Windows XP

I have rolled out printers via group policy and was tested using a Windows 7 but since it has gone into a live environment the driver has caused a print spooler error which crashes and as a result no printing is available to the user. Now I have stopped the deployment but the driver is still loaded into the client. If I delete the printer locally it doesn't delete the print driver.

I have updated the driver but it still causes the print spooler error. So my question is if I delete the printer, will the driver still cause the problems? Ideally I would like to remove the driver but as this is on lots of printers all over the site I want a quicker way of doing it.

this is good i wasnt sure if you can run it on an XP client to make changes on other machines

Sorry, I meant I ran it from my (Win7) machine to delete a driver on a remote Win7 & WinXp client.
