At the moment im looking at rewriting URLs eg making sure google is on safe or strict search etc. I have seen for squid I need a rediredtor and have checked ones out like squirm and such and have seen it easily done in squid guard but.... My final solution will probably be a smartfilter and Dansguardian combo so I m just looking for a good example from anyone not using Squidguard if poss.

We are looking at a possible alternative, so long as it is: a. Cheaper b. More functional c. Easy to integrate We are concerned with currrent ongoing costs with some of our backend systems and are looking at maybe replacing some of these with cheaper or free alternatives, but only as long as they are going to deliver the goods. We are not going to sacrifice the quality of our service in the name of cost. After talking to people from other LEA's at the conferance I am more sure than ever before that we in Lancashire got it just about right with out Grid for Leanrning connction.

We are looking at a possible alternative, so long as it is: Can only go off your copy of the meeting's minutes which suggested that an alternative be found - implying that SmartFilter may have its failings (particularly in persiting to crash ISA 2004!).
