Every printer on both networks is "offline"

We've come back for the new term to a nice present from the edugods

 

Every printer in the school - on both networks - that is networked, is showing as offline. Neither are any responding to a ping.

 

I've rebooted everything, and still no change. All are deployed through print management on server 2008. Can anyone suggest what I can try from here please?

 

I've tried to check who's been in over the holidays - in terms of building work - but I can't get a clear answer at the moment.

Plug a laptop into the outlet for the printer and see if it can ping back to the server.

 

Then trace the network Hopps backward.

seems to be a server 2003 issue but I know there was this : The print queue status is displayed as "Offline" on a Windows Server 2003-based print server if SNMP is enabled and if the printer devices do not respond to SNMP commands

 

Not sure how much use if any this is ? Thought it may be worth a try on one or two of the printers ??
