SIMS AD intergration

A weird one here.

I have just went through SIMS system manager 6 and linked each users account to their AD account. All seemed well, I tested half a dozen users and they all worked fine.

Today some teachers came into school and tried to log into SIMS but it wouldn't work. "No problem" I said, "You just click current user...".

*Invalid Username/Password*

I've tried unlinking and relinking the SIMS user to AD but that doesn't have any affect.

I've tried linking another SIMS user to the teachers AD account to test if it's a problem with the SIMS user account, again no affect.

And visa versa, I've tried linking the SIMS user to a different AD account, again no affect.

Any ideas? Don't really fancy telling all the staff I have messed up their SIMS accounts and they need to learn a new username and password on the first day of term...

Have you tried doing it in the system manager integrated into sims rather than system manager 6?

Yes, same problem.

Can the sims server ping a domain controller? Have you checked the time is the same as the sims one? Reboot the sims server?

I don't manage the server but I have a reboot scheduled for tomorrow. AFAIK the times/DNS/etc are all correct. Some users can log in with AD integration so it shouldn't be that.

Cheers, will report back tomorrow.

FIXED

Once the server had been rebooted I could go through each user using system manager (built in) and change the linked account to someone else, save it, change it back to the proper AD user, save it, move on to next user.

Only took all morning.

I love SIMS so much...
