Install Driver Silently .exe

Hi Guys,

 

I'm trying to automate the process of installing a new driver to my PCs.

I've copied the files to a temp directory on the local C: on the PC.

 

When I use psEXEC to run the installation it fails.

 

When I looked at why it does this its because a window pops up saying " Windows cant verify the publisher of this software"

it then gives you two options "Don't Install" or "Install anyway"

 

Does anyone know of a way that I can get around this so the driver will install?

The only way I've found to get that sorted, is install it manually on your computer. Select the allow option, then export the certificates to the machines and import them pre-driver install.

Isn't there a GPO that allows standard users to install non digitally signed drivers / software ? Not sure if this is any use ?

You can deploy certificates via GPO...

I would install this manually but i have to do this for 750 PC's which would be a nightmare.

I just wondered if there was a way to script the installation.

You can script the install, You just need to do it manually once to get the certificate on your pc Then you can script the import certutil stuff to import it.
