Domain Change on exchange 2007

Hi All i hope i have posted this in the right place,

we have exchange 2007 running on a windows server 2008, we have just changed our domain name, i have added the new domain to exchange so i can receive and send email from it but when i go to https:// mail.newdomain. com it redirectrs to https:// mail. olddomain. com/owa/auth/logon.aspx?url=https:// mail. olddomain. com/owa/&reason=0 can anyone one help me with this please

This would be because you also need to change the external or internal or even both urls from the exchange console. Your old domain must be wrote in, this is why it redirects to the old one.

 

This would be somewhere under client access

As said above, you will need to change internal and external URL. This can be done through the emc or the powershell.

 

On another note, you may need to buy a new ssl cert as the current one may not contain the new name.
