CAM Posted August 28, 2012 Posted August 28, 2012 I've been troubleshooting a problem with reports since the summer release. Any report outputting results to Excel with a macro in it fails and displays Unable to Load ExcelList.xls. Has anyone else had this?
tech_guy Posted August 28, 2012 Posted August 28, 2012 Oh great, we have hundreds of Excel files laden with macros.... I'm off work at the moment but I'll have a look tomorrow to see what happens when we do an export.

CAM Posted August 29, 2012 Author Posted August 29, 2012 I don't have access to FMS. Odd, all of ours are broken. Normal lists work but any custom templates where a macro was used to generate PivotTables for example have all broken.

Stupid question but have you ticked the ‘Trust access to the VBA project object model’ in Excel?
vikpaw Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 Actually, you have checked Macros are enabled right? They're not silently blocked as part of the installation or some policy..?
LosOjos Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 Haven't tried SIMS reports with macros yet, but all of my automation scripts for Individual Reports were broken, always throwing a random VBA error because of the missing IndRepBaseTemplate.dot. It used to work if you put a copy in the folder with the documents, but since summer release (possibly the release before that), Word just freezes. So, I'm back to manually sorting reports again (that thread is here if anybody has a solution! http://www.edugeek.net/forums/mis-systems/97048-indrepbasetemplate-dot-causing-problems.html)

Hi did you find a resolution for this? we are running reports for the first time since the summer upgrade and are having the same issue.
lynn1 Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 Hi CAM I am not sure if this is the same issue that we are having here. Word is crashing when enabling macros in reports following the latest SIMS upgrade. Did you ever resolve the issue that you were having?
