Jimmyad Posted August 26, 2012 Posted August 26, 2012 Hi I am looking for some advice as to what my options may be. I am in the process of moving house and the place i am looking at has no fibre options. (South Nutfield) I trade financial futures markets over a VPN from home at the moment using a 20mb Virgin Business line. I have been informed that the max i can get in the property i am looking at is 2.2-4mb adsl. There is no Virgin or Bt infinity in the area, although it is only 3 miles from redhill which has it all. The local exchange is apparently just under 600 meters away (Nutfield Ridge). What do you think it would cost to get some form of leased line? I don't need anything spectacular maybe 10mb. If this is not cost effective is there anything i can try to do to maximize an adsl line? Alternatively i just rent a Regus office in Redhill. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Regards

twin--turbo Posted August 26, 2012 Posted August 26, 2012 Leased lines??? Off hand , About £9K + Install + ECC's EFM would be a fair chunk cheaper but may not get super data rates. Bonded Broadband would be the cheapest option. Rob
nicholab Posted August 27, 2012 Posted August 27, 2012 Andrew's and Arnold may be what you are looking for in an ISP also fit a filtered face plate XTE-2005 Filtered Master Faceplate - ADSL Nation.

Regards Hi jimmy, PM me your postcode and I'll get you a quote. You can also do bonded or balanced ADSL. Alternatively give me a call and I'll go over options available. EFM would likely not have any excess construction charges as it's a copper based leased line. It also comes with guarnateed SLA which I suspect is what you need if you're trading from home. Happy to give some advice. Dave
SchoolsBroadband Posted September 1, 2012 Posted September 1, 2012 Oh FYI we've sold some fibre 10Mbit leased lines for sub £5k in the past. They've come down in cost quite a lot 1
Jimmyad Posted September 11, 2012 Author Posted September 11, 2012 Thanks for everyones feedback. Dave i will try and call you tomorrow to discuss possible solutions.
