Smart Notebook 11...a real pain

in a slightly related issue - which i think there is a thread about elsewhere

 

had a response back from smart about the annoying popup box when loading notebook for proxy auth and it is a "known" issue and they are working on it....

 

Did they ever reply back to you about this? Since rolling out 11.1 my users have been complaining about this

nope now word from them, i haven't tried the newer version as im sure they released a service packed version.

 

we are using 11.xx on site but we gave the option of using 10 to those who cant stand the new version and the lag which the smart ink layer insists on generating

I fixed the proxy auth box, as it was being generated from the activity builder. Simple add in to Internet explorer 127.0.0.1 to the list of addresses that are set NOT to use proxy, all done!!

I got given a "Wipe out" tool for Smart software. Works very well!

I had issues installing 11 from the downloaded files on the site but got given a CD which works flawlessly. No proxy issues, No ink issues and boot speed seems fine.
