Google Apps for Education has ads!

We've got Google apps for education. Even though there should not be ads on our GMail pages, there are!

 

Any ideas why? There is only 1 user so far. There is no setting that I can see in the domain management section of Google Apps.

If you have a Google Apps for Business or Education account, you have the option to disable/hide advertisements for users in your account. If you have multiple domains associated with your Google Apps account, the setting applies to all domains. It is not possible to hide ads for only a subset of your users.

 

To hide all advertisements:

 

Log in to the Google Apps administrator control panel.

The URL is https://www.google.com/a/cpanel/primary-domain-name, where primary-domain-name is the domain name you used to sign up for Google Apps.

 

Click Domain settings.

 

Check the box next to Hide all advertisements for this domain.

 

Click Save changes.

Thanks Cybernerd. Sounds ridiculous, but there just isn't anywhere on the Domain page where it mentions 'ads' or 'advertisements'. I've looked everywhere. Seems as if they have removed this option. Have tried in Chrome and FF. Any other thoughts?

is it a brand new account? it might take a day to kickin all the privileges hprivelege. otherwise you have free support for google apps! give them a call
