ABBYY Products... Anybody had any experiences with them?

I am looking into a possible cost saving solution at the moment to use Abbyy products within our organisation rather than Adobe Acrobat Professional. Has anybody any experience with the PDF transformer and Fine Writer?

Our head of ICT brought Abbyy Fine Reader (Text reconation), cant fault it realy. Its had one or 2 documents it cant change but it does 99% of them with no problems at all.

 

As for the install its quite easy works with non admin uses happly (didnt need to fiddle with it at all). Only downside for us is that its individual keys for each pc, not sure if this is just because of the way it was brought.

I've used fine reader in several organisations. One place it came bundled with a document scanner/storage solution and everyone liked it so much we bought a site licence! I don't really have a lot to say about it other than it's always just worked!
