Trying to DirSync working, but failing

Got an issue when I'm trying to configure DirSync, it keeps coming up with this error:

 

Unable to establish a connection to the authentication service. Contact Technical Support.

 

Now I've check the service that it uses, and it passes through the proxy servers fine.

 

The event log shows, in addition to above, this error:

 

Unable to establish a connection to the authentication service. Contact Technical Support. GetAuthState() failed with -2147186688 state. HResult:0. Contact Technical Support.  (0x80048862)

 

I've tried running the power shell that you get to see if that can connect, and it too can't connect. Anyone got any ideas?

Did you ever find a solution to this? I'm having the exact same problem and its bugging the bejesus out of me
