SHimmer45 Posted July 17, 2012 Posted July 17, 2012 what ever happened to decent branded PSU's of around 30 or less which had more than 1 or 2 SATA power connectors. (some only have one which is frankly barking!) as good as the antec green 380 is at almost £35.00 its more expensive than when i last brought a branded PSU. did use some CIT ones in the past but had a couple of iffy ones and not to keen on them for the office workstation.. Other favourites used by people on here that they would care to share?

The Corsair 430s are reputed to be pretty good, but I know what you mean; the entry level price for PSUs seems to have risen a lot, and seems much higher than US prices on NewEgg etc. (even taking tax into account)
SHimmer45 Posted July 18, 2012 Author Posted July 18, 2012 The earthwatts does looks a good PSU. in the end settle for Akasa ES Power 350W Power Supply Unit (AK-P350AG8-SLUK) - www.misco.co.uk seeing as it has a good range of connectors as some other psu have lots of molex and few sata or visa versa. i was tempted to bring an older enermax in from home as that would have been ideal.
