smartboard problem

I upgraded to smartboard 11 and now all of my activities are cut off at the bottom. You have to scroll down when it is on full screen version. Smattech said to press ctrl + shift + o but that doesn't change it. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Are you using a low resolution by any chance? If yes, try increasing it.

after opening file there is a box in upper left corner. click on the box with ... and the default is page width. You have to change it to entire page and then it works correctly.

OK. We haven't switched just yet properly to v11, but I'm making sure I'm aware of the inevitable problems and solutions caused by the changes they've insisted on making at default.

 

Changing the subject slightly, does anybody think USB is just not right as a connection interface for these things? I've been going around our rooms checking various equipment and while it's accepted that you can't write at normal speed on a smartboard because of lag these days (the constant complaint I get from staff), I then checked out an older rig with a serial adaptor - no lag & normal to fast writing speed. I'm suprised I never noticed the difference.

 

It seems to be USB is a complete failure with smartboards!

USB is great for up to 5 metres, but then you're forced to use powered USB, serial or even better an Ethernet extension with USB at either end. This gets around the issue of distance as no classroom (normally) exceeds 100 metres.

Yep, extending can affect it, but I'm witnessing lag via the smarts cable supplied alone.

Perhaps there is another reason for the lag, but as I say, our serial interface boards have no problem.
