Disabling new "thread/post read" settings?

Hey,

 

Is there any way to remove the new thread/post read settings, and use the old version within User CP? Or is it site wide options only? Really disliking having millions of pages to check through every time I flick from mobile, to pc, to work pc etc, as well as threads disappearing as soon as I read it, or reply.

I hate it too. I've ended up hitting 'Mark all forums read' before laving the site... if I remember

Yeh we are considering going back to cookie based, I wish the database method has a similar time out like the cookies but sadly not, I am just trying to see what I can hack into it.

i can see it sort of making sense so whn i look somet up on my tablet it dosent affect the what ive read when i sit down on my pc and i could live with it if it diddnt remove replied threads as soon as you reply

I am considering putting it back for now until I can make the database method more manageable.
