[ms office - 2010] Sheared Calendar with shared notifications outlook 2010 and exchange 2010

We are currently using MS Outlook 2010 with Exchange 2010, I am trying to create a sheared calendar for scheduling planed work with notifications for all members of the sheared calendar is this possible and if so what would be the best way to do this

You can create a shared calendars but the notification alert may not work, what if you just send out a appointment to everyone of just send an email to a DL, maybe include a link to a shared calender.
