Davit2005 Posted July 9, 2012 Posted July 9, 2012 2 physically different NIC's (different manufacturers/models), 2 physically different Switches, 2 seperate controllers on SAN. Looking at setting up Multi-Pathing and pondering on wether to go for 2 seperate VMKernal switches (1 to each controller) or 2 VMKernal ports on same virtual switch, any advice/gotcha's? I guess it would be best to have all similar hardware but has anyone got a similar setup, is it advisable to go a certain method with different hardware? Were not intending to have Virtual servers booting off the SAN at the moment.
