BJG Posted July 5, 2012 Posted July 5, 2012 (edited) (Just for reference, here's what it looks like in Chrome originally, Chrome after clearing the cache, and IE.) http://www.lemontiger.co.uk/images/misc/edugeek3.jpg I suppose I'll get used to it...grumble...;-) (PS - the "wink" smiley on this forum is the worst I've ever seen. I can't use that! How do people manage?) Edited July 5, 2012 by BJG
januttall Posted July 5, 2012 Posted July 5, 2012 I Like the orange tho i may have to start wearing sun screen. but the blue is far nicer.
ZeroHour Posted July 6, 2012 Posted July 6, 2012 Do you have a proxy? In the past, edugeek updates have looked odd as the proxy had cached something and needed clearing from there too. I have taken steps to allow me to trigger a flush of css which should mitigate these problems. (Just for reference, here's what it looks like in Chrome originally, Chrome after clearing the cache, and IE.) http://www.lemontiger.co.uk/images/misc/edugeek3.jpg I suppose I'll get used to it...grumble...;-) (PS - the "wink" smiley on this forum is the worst I've ever seen. I can't use that! How do people manage?) Regarding Avant: It looks in Avant they are using IE7's engine as thats how IE7 renders the css (not tested old engines of ff). Sadly vBulletin dont support IE7 and due to this we wont be investing a huge amount of time to fix IE7 issues. If you install IE8/9 Avant will get an engine upgrade at the same time as it just hooks into the installed IE version I believe. Regarding the navbar: Navbar styling issues actually are a problem for IE, the text is supposed to be thinner but IE mishandles the gwf fonts when you use multiple weights, I am testing a fix for this but it does mean the navbar will be thinner text for IE users We are open to feedback but the navbar is most correct in up to date chrome browsers which is how it was intended to look. IE8 doesnt support proper css shadows so it has none. I too want new smilies
