Successmaker 1.3 MSI

Hi all,

 

We are currently setting up Successmaker Enterprise 1.3 new install on to our shiny new server. Have done the server bit, anyone got an msi for the client i can have ? If not, those who have created packages for it - any pittfalls, or was it straight forward ?

I just used WinInstall LE to create our MSI and it worked fine - the reporting DLL registers on first login too

Did that include the database connection and folder permissions as well Richie?

 

What version of Sybase does Successmaker now run on ours is still on 6.0.4 and i'd like to move it to a later version if possible?

It seems to have handled the database connection.

The folder permissions are handled by a batch file.

I think we are still on 6.0.4

Would you mind checking the NTFS permissions on your SME folder (when you get chance), ours seems to be share:change and NTFS Authenticated Users:Change. I'm not sure i like that as the students could delete or add files to the directories, surely read/execute is sufficient on most of the folders in there.

I think it needs to have change as results are recorded by the student, ro read and execute are not enough
