CTRL+mouse scroll changes size of icons on desktop

 

Now of course I'll need to disable this on my non-domain win7 starter netbooks

Windows key + arrow keys does the Windows snap to screen. V exciting times!

Ctrl+Shift+Esc brings up Task Manager.

 

Ctrl+tab allows you to switch tabs in IE.

 

A few others I know of (top of my head).

 

How are you going to restrict Ctrl+scroll?

Windows Key + Number starts stuff off your quicklaunch bar, i.e. 1 for the first, 2 for the second

 

Windows + X = Windows mobility centre

 

Windows + m = minimize all windows

 

Windows + Shift + M = restore all windows back the way they were from above

 

Windows + Up = maximize

 

Windows + Down = restore (if maximised) or minimize (if not)

 

Windows + L = Lock session

 

Mouse wheel click on taskbar icon spawns new process

 

Ctrl + mousewheel works as zoom in + out on many apps

 

Ctrl + Shift + Tab = goes backwards through tabs in IE and config dialogues

 

there are way more too.

WIN + a number = respective pinned item on the taskbar (Windows 7 & 8)

 

Eg in an OOBE install of Windows 7, Win +2 opens Windows Explorer, WIN + 3 opens Windows Media Player

Shift + F5 in Word takes you to the last edit, even if the file has been closed and re-opened since the last edit. Very useful when working on big reports! (I just types 'bog reports' by accident)

Ctrl + number takes you to that number tab in at least FF and IE

 

Windows key + tab gives you an entirely pointless (and usually incomplete) but oddly impressive 3D task switcher.

 

Ctrl + [ or ] changes font size in Office stuff

That's handy for dual screen users as you can't snap a window to the right-hand side for 50:50 viewing with mouse alone
