[sims] Sims learning gateway on RM domain

Hi guys,

Are there any school who are currently using sims learning gateway (self hosted) on RM network?

1. Have got the sharepoint and ms sql database on the same box or on seperate boxes?

2. How well is user account consolidation working for you?

3. Does it in any way interfere with RM dc in any way?

We have SLG hosted and CC4 here and had SLG and CC3 before this.

 

1. Sharepoint and SQL are on two seperate virtualised servers.

 

2. Consolidation works well and other than a few webpart issues (no CCx) related have worked for 4+ years.

 

3. No interferance at all, i don't see how it can seperate OU etc for SLG users away from the standrd CCx users keeps everything seperate.

hi Sylv3r, thanks for getting back so quickly, really appreciate it. Did u have to pay for cc4/cc3 member server licences for the SharePoint and Ms SQL servers?

They are part of the domain but are not setup as member servers, so we haven't bought CC4 server licences.
