BenQ Projector Serial Number

Out of curiosity, does anyone happen to know if the Serial Number on a BenQ MX660 Projector is printed anywhere else other than the bottom of the unit? I.e. if one's Tech Dept. has had a fire and the bottom of the Projector looks like melted cheese but the top and insides are relatively intact.

 

We have all the S/N's for these Projectors (about 10) but no one's written which rooms they were mounted in and I'm trying to find an easy way to obtain the S/N for this particular Projector.

I assume it wont power up?

 

You can interogate the firmware on most to get the serial but they are done after build so will not be inside.

I certainly wouldn't like to try it.

 

It was a long shot so not too worried about it but thought it'd be nice to have serial no's incase our insurance company request them.

 

However... If it may be possible to interrogate the firmware how would I possibly go about doing this? I'm thinking I could get the SNs from the other units and go through a process of elimination.
