Beginning early to mid July, may even be suitable for those on term time only or sabbaticals who can get away to gain more experience

 

Senior Infrastructure Engineer- £150-£180 a day

Senior implementation consultant, senior engineer, technical guru required to work with new schools and academies to help with Implementation including designing and administrating Microsoft, Vmware and Citrix enterprise environments, production support, datacenter management, server administration and virtualization

Deploying Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) solutions specifically tailored to customer requirements. Consultancy to improve or troubleshoot the existing infrastructure. Design Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) solution using VMware, Citrix and Microsoft technologies. Implement a variety of educationally important technologies like SharePoint 2010, Exchange 2010.

We are looking for candidates with some of the following skills and attributes that are required for this role including Windows Server 2008, Exchange server 2010, Sharepoint, Lync, Active Directory, group policy, DHCP, DNS, WDS deployment, IIS, remote desktop services, file servers, DFS, print servers, FTP, NLB and WSUS, VMware vSphere VCP 5, Microsoft Hyper-V, MCSE 2003 or 2008, ITIL V3, Citrix Xenserver, Xendesktop, VDI, ESX, ESXi, View, Virtual Center Server, Networking & VMware View, Xenapp, Xendesktop, Citrix Access gateway (VPX) , Single Sign on & Merchandising Server, HP Proliant and blade servers, SAN Fibre/iSCSI (IBM, Dell and EMC) , NAS, HBAs, Fiber switches and RAID controllers

UK travel required and frequent over nigh stays could be involved to implement on customer sites

Start asap, experience in education be it BSF or Academies programmes is essential, CRB clearance is also essential.

All fuel and accommodation paid for. Candidates located near north home counties would be preferred
