Devontechie Posted May 23, 2012 Posted May 23, 2012 Currently got 8.9GB on Dropbox from doing bits like this and doing the odd referrals. I did use the beta Camera Uploads as well
localzuk Posted May 23, 2012 Posted May 23, 2012 I've got about 10.5GB at the moment, all free. The thing is, if their prices were more reasonable, I'd've signed up and paid by now anyway. I'd love to be able to back up a lot more of my data to the service for piece of mind, but as it stands my 40GB+ of photos will have to stay on 2 hard disks in my house.
Chris_ Posted May 23, 2012 Posted May 23, 2012 Extra space if you're in education: https://www.dropbox.com/edu (have a valid .sch.uk, .edu, .ac.uk email etc..)
SimpleSi Posted May 23, 2012 Posted May 23, 2012 (edited) The thing is, if their prices were more reasonable, As someone who doesn't normally forkout for software - I've been paying the $9-99/month for 2 years for 50G. If I had to cut-back - Sky and Spotify (and 1st born) would be going 1st It depends what you use it for but I have linked all my technical files/downloads across all the servers in my 6 schools with my home machine and the conveniece factor can't be beaten - its like having you car door opening for you as you walk up to it E.g - changed a common desktop url shortcut and rollout script in one school at 8am and it was all there and ready for me to press rollout at this school at 9:30 Si Edited May 23, 2012 by SimpleSi
Gatt Posted May 23, 2012 Posted May 23, 2012 Blatent Dropbox friend request/invite for more space: http://db.tt/ELZW07F
Guest salan Posted May 23, 2012 Posted May 23, 2012 Blatent Dropbox friend request/invite for more space: http://db.tt/ELZW07F I can just imagine how many of these there could be. Yes I have the 50g and wish I had the 100g but there pricing is 'not the cheapest'. Having said that the service (to date) have been 100% We have all our family photos on it as they are the most precious thing (next to actual family of course). Alan
Gatt Posted May 23, 2012 Posted May 23, 2012 Still on 3.9Gb - everyone I know either has a DB account or doesn't want one
