Oh Great, not even been in for 3 hours once the pupils are back and we get the dreaded phone call.

OFSTED are in on Wednesday and Thursday.

Bring on the bloodhound squad, but can anyone offer any advice on any sort of checklist to go through on our techie side of things?

To be honest, there's not much you can do other than make sure the kit is all working (or removed/hidden if it won't work properly and you don't have time to fix it)

Now is not the time to go making major changes to anything. Only you will know if there are any niggles that people have just been putting up with. If you have the time to deal with these; do so.

We had them in just before half term. I'm in Primary and they didn't look at anything technical or even speak to me and I teach ICT in the school as well as look after everything technical. So long as ICT is being used correctly and it is planned for I think you should be OK. These short sharp visits do not leave them much time to go into anything in extreme detail as they will be most likely summing uo their visit for the last afternoon so its really only a 1.5 day visit. Hope all goes well. Sorry I can't offer any more advice but its like a needle in a haystack trying to second guess what they will want to look at.

We wish they would hurry up and come here. We've been in the firing line for a visit for the past year and a half so every meeting it's "be ready for OFSTED the call could come any moment". It is getting tedious now and it is there in the back of everyones mind! I know nothing to worry about but it just makes the staff slightly more on edge and nervous.

And thats our job. >:)

When Ofsted came here they did not look directly at the IT technical side, but obviously do take note of it by talking to staff and seeing it in use in lessons. They commented on the use of IT very heavily in the report and at the informal feedback it was mentioned quite a lot.

Just make sure you know what is in your SEF relating to IT and that the evidence is there to support it if needed.
