Hi,

 

I'm deploying NetSupport 10.5 out through Group Policy, all installs fine, however when a tutor with limited permission logs in, they keep getting the activate message, when a member of IT dept logs in, this holds, I've tried looking in the Registry to find the key it's updating, but with no joy.

 

Does anyone know the registry key used to store if netSupport is activated? I have the license file stored on network in same location as the MSI I'm deploying out, simply want to stop IT dept having to manually login to each staff PC and click to activate.

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Because it still means going round to each individual staff PC to deploy out? I deal with multiple sites and Group Policy is the most convenient way to install software

If a user with local admin rights logs in and runs the Tutor it should then activate and store this for all users. If this isn't the case then get in touch with our support guys and they will help. You can chat online or email them at PC Remote Control Software with Remote Desktop, Linux and Pocket PC support.

Hi Rob, yeah this does work, but was wondering if a way of when deploying netSupport to have the activation automatic so we don't need a user with local admin rights to login?

Netsupport school is driving me potty.

 

The way it connected to clients was poor, but the class lists was good (version 10)

 

Along comes 10.5 makes the connecting to clients good, they remove class lists from the startup screen! Meaning i have to get teachers to dive through menu's to select what PC's they want to control, not good.

 

What i do not get is, with the activation, why not just make the NSS Connectivity Server more than just a connectivity server, make it the only peice that needs to be activated. Make it the individual tutor settings for each teacher. It could be so much better than it is.

Quackers, class lists selection will be added back to the class wizard in a fix update that should be out this week.
