Vertical white lines on projector

Hi,

 

Ive got a sanyo projector in the main hall that has virtical white lines running down the screen, this is the same regardless of anything that is plugged in, and when nothing is plugged it at all, so have ruled out source as the issue.

 

From having a search around the internet everyone seems to think this means the projector is stuffed, anyone got any ideas, or is it time for a new one.

 

The projector is only two years old, and a fair few hours left on the bulb yet.

I suspect that it is also a stuffed projector. Start checking warranties!

Similar faults on laptop screens can be down to ribbon cables. Might be worth having a prod around.

This is a common issue with LCD projectors. Usually you can resolve the issue by going into the LCD panel adjustment menu option and playing with the red, green and blue panel values until they align to remove the white lines
