[fog] Moving FOG images

I have just set up another FOG storage node & would like to move the images from the old node to the new one.

Is there a way to do this within FOG or do I need to do it manually. If manually, how?

If there's not a better option, then you should be able to set up a new image with the same name on the new server and simply copy your old image over the top of that which the new server creates. FOG disk images are, I seem to remember, simply Partimage file and should be interchangable. There might well be a better option than that, though, if you have a rummage through all the menu options.

Been playing with it & found a solution that seems to work.

FTP in to the server that holds the images & copy them to another machine. FTP in to the new server & copy them in to the correct folder, then set the folder/file permissions to 777.

Set the image on the FOG server to associate with the new server.

Tested it & it seems OK.
