Mini Rackmount servers?

Is there such a thing?

 

We are looking at the possibility of a mini rack-mount server, Small enough to install in a data cabinet. I think the cabinet is 390mm deep and only has a patch panel and switch in it. We want to put a server in there with around 500gb storage in there to be used in the media studies room.

 

The idea is that all the media studies users save their work to this server to cut down in network traffic around the school. I know you can have a Buffalo NAS but from what i read their is problems with the Active Directory recognition and this puts me off.

I'd alos be interested in such a NAS type device if one exists. I need one to go in a data cab for video editing too.

Never used or even heard of these but a quick search of google I came up with a server that is 356mm deep Here
