ok where do i start. At the begining you say, I have beed told i need to make a few small videos to put on our internal web sight to show people how to do a few thing. So i have managed to record the screen not a problem. but the when i try to do any work on the avi file what so ever i lose so much qualty. i have tried all sorts of ways to do it but every time the qualty just gets wose. The trouble is i need it to go on the internal web so the file cant be that big. if anyone has any good ideas how to edit the avi without losing so much quilty it would be great.

Have you tried creating them as SWF with Wink?

I use a product called Demo Builder to create demo/training videos for staff which can be saved as swf and html. It is very very simple to use

take a look at Demo Builder. If you use a mic you can record your instructions and save typing them olt on the screen but I find this embarrassing and feel the bubbles and pointers work better.

I use a program called CamStudio. It can capture to any codec you have installed on your system, and will then convert it to a .swf file (with html page to go with it if you want to). It seems nice and lightweight.

 

A friend of mine swears by Wink, it seems to be a nice alternative, geared more towards annotated tutorials.

lol had a look at it it seems really good but i have found when you save it to play the qualty goes and cant read the text on screen ie a web fourm ect
