SuccessMaker - Press Green go button - Only to get Alert message

Hi there,

 

My students are using SuccessMaker and after they press the green GO button - It appears to load (through Java) but then it quickly produces a square pop up "alert" message. It says ca_Read:can't load cache and has C:\CAI\CUR\MCS\images.ima!'

 

WHo knows what this is about?

 

It's happening on two out of 5 of my students laptops.

 

I have updated Java, and uploaded all the fixes from the Successmaker website.

 

I'm getting frustrated!!

I know this post is ancient but I had this error and after much digging around I have fixed it on my system. This post was the only reference on the big wide web so I thought I should post my findings-

1) Re-installed courseware...... 2) It's sorted!!!

(I hate SuccessMaker problems)

SuccessMaker is horrid and should be banished from the world

 

I find most errors are caused because it had been installed from a UNC path rather than the mapped drive it needs to have to run properly.

 

Sadly there's not a cheap / free alternative that I've manged to find to replace it with - any suggestions here?
