We discovered that power supplies from Hantol have a fake PFC coil, where the coil is made out of cement (yes, cement), so the power supply feels heavy.

Yes, something I've seen very often, including a few of the cheaper brands you find in PC World and other computer shops. Q-Tec and EZCool were buggers for doing this as well as having ratings far beyond actual capabilities.

This is an interesting piece on unbranded PSU's from a couple of years ago. I've never bought a 'generic' since. That wasn't a one off either...

 

Something like this may cost a bit more and 'only' do 450w, but it's plenty for your average desktop, and you get a 2 year RTB warranty.
