VDI in a Box Demo Day - 6th June 2012 - Fitzharrys School

Its finally organised - I've got 3 speakers (including a chappy from Citrix) to come and present at the second Fitzharrys School (Abingdon, Oxfordshire) VDI in a Box demo day.

 

Details are-

Wednesday 6th June 2012

Starts at 10am finishes ~3pm

Talks are on VDI, Thin Clients, Remote access to VDI and how we do it all at Fitz

Bring along your own Citrix Receiver compatible device and we shall see about hooking it up to our WiFi/VDI

School Tour - we might even have Lync 2010 setup on the phones by then.

Train to Oxford/Didcot and then bus the rest of the distance would work if you are looking at public transport.

I'm going to be out from Friday - Tuesday so might not have enough time to have them ready for the day but are more than happy to give some a spin

Just like to say thanks to all that attended!

We had 16 schools and 20 people attend and it looks like my estimates for the right amount of food was spot on (although could've done with a few juice drinks but hey!).

 

The PowerPoints and videos from my bits will be online around 9am tomorrow morning (at least unless my backup server parts arrive before then!)

Life is so - we are hoping to run another one next year or if I feel like it and can get enough interest do something (mainly for Oxfordshire Schools but with others invited to drag up numbers) that shows off a wider variety of tech in the summer (so VDI, Lync 2010, VPN, how our SSDs are going ect).
