saxonuser Posted April 18, 2012 Posted April 18, 2012 Hi I have Task Manager switched off on CTRL ALT DEL. However they can right hand click on the clock on the bottom right hand corner and select Start Task Manager. Is there anyway to switch this off? If there is a method to switch off everything on right hand clicking on the clock that would be better! :-) I've blocked out the ability to change time/time zone etc.
tigerstar Posted April 18, 2012 Posted April 18, 2012 What policy are you using to block access to Task Manager? The one in User Configuration > System > Ctrl+Alt+Del Options should lock it out via other methods too (right-clicking the clock or taskbar, etc) - it certainly works on our system anyway. Check if the policy is applying correctly with RSOP - you could have another policy that's overriding it.
Davit2005 Posted April 18, 2012 Posted April 18, 2012 One thing also is to try disallowing the taskmgr.exe via 'Don't run specified Windows applications' Enabled, in User Policies
kellssmith Posted April 19, 2012 Posted April 19, 2012 Regedit or Policy of window will allow to do this.
