SCCM Management Point

Hello.

 

Just a silly question. I need to install the SCCM client manually. On one of the switches i need to specify a management point. How would i determine this for my server please?

If memory serves me right for 2007, its just the FQDN SMSMP=servername.domainname.local

You can also publish it to DNS / AD if you have extended the schema

 

Expand Site Database -> Site Management and opent he properties for your Site (Site-Code - Site Name)

Ensure "Publish the default management point in DNS (Intranet only)

 

Also means you dont have to specify the site code (EG SMSSITECODE=AUTO)
