tomgrindle Posted April 11, 2012 Posted April 11, 2012 Hi All, This morning I clicked on my favourite to have a quick browse of EduGeek before I started my day. I was presented with a nice little box informing me that there was an app that I could browse it on. I thought wow and downloaded it cos I had been waited for ages for this! I paid for it and installed it, but I can't find EduGeek on it anywhere ..... Has anybody else downloaded this at all or have found EduGeek on it? Tom
elsiegee40 Posted April 11, 2012 Posted April 11, 2012 I think its a feature of vBulletin that got picked up eroneously last night. I use ForumRunner for other forums, but edugeek isn't on it.
gavlar Posted April 11, 2012 Posted April 11, 2012 I saw it this morning and was planning to download it tonight but it seems to have gone.
GREED Posted April 11, 2012 Posted April 11, 2012 I saw it too... didn't buy hoping Chris or Shaun can confirm???
Popular Post ZeroHour Posted April 11, 2012 Popular Post Posted April 11, 2012 (edited) DO NOT BUY FORUM RUNNER JUST FOR USE ON EDUGEEK vBulletins parent company bought Forum Runner a few weeks ago (and boosted the price!) and as such decided they would integrate the plugin into vBulletin 4.1.12 which we upgraded too last night. Initially it appears that the plugin was prompting you to install (which should be disabled now) while I tested a couple things after the upgrade which was a mistake. EduGeek cant be found currently while I test. I am looking at our plugins and compatibility with forum runner as well as a couple of other issues before we state "yes you can use it if you want" basically but at this stage I dont want anyone to buy it solely to use it on EduGeek (and I am sorry if you bought it this morning for use) as its not 100% we will activate it all depending on testing. Once I have a few kinks worked out there may be a testing period for those in the User Panel. Edited April 12, 2012 by ZeroHour 6
ZeroHour Posted April 12, 2012 Posted April 12, 2012 One of the issues mobile apps present is listed in this thread: http://www.edugeek.net/forums/edugeek-net-site-problems/93286-newly-posted-threads-not-appearing-my-user-control-panel.html#post813872
