greenfieldsupport Posted June 12, 2007 Posted June 12, 2007 Good luck with that googlemad ... psychometric tests seem silly to me, there are alot of people i know, who are intellegent, as in, they would pass them with flying colours.... but yet still have NO clue when it comes to ICT at all... I also know lots of people who can blurb out lots about IT, thinking they know everything (they are the dangerous ones!)... At least i know enough to know that i dont know everything!!
alonebfg Posted June 12, 2007 Posted June 12, 2007 As i say some people have all the brains but no CDF.
bishopsgarthstockton Posted June 12, 2007 Posted June 12, 2007 Think we should make T-shirts with PLEASE GIVE GOOGLEMAD A JOB! never wanted to will someone on so much. Good luck and happy Birthday
witch Posted June 12, 2007 Posted June 12, 2007 Didn't get the job but I'm awaiting a phonecall from a much better place sometime today anyway I'm intrigued - a much better place? Er...Heaven? On the job topic, I have just found out that I lost out last time to a bloke I was on a networking course with 2 years ago. He ia a farmer who has really got into computing. He's not better than me though, even though they obviously think so!!!
Guest kerrymoralee9280 Posted June 12, 2007 Posted June 12, 2007 What is better? You may have ultimate knowledge of Servers and setting up AD's and such.... But what if the employee is looking for something with sufficient knowledge and a better work ethic, or sufficient knowledge in Servers and some knowledge in lets say another IT subject
Friez Posted June 12, 2007 Posted June 12, 2007 Best job interview I ever had was in a pub discussing what our favourite games were over a few pints. My kinda interview! Got the job too! Shame the contracts for the project fell through a few months later though
witch Posted June 12, 2007 Posted June 12, 2007 ... But what if the employee is looking for something with sufficient knowledge and a better work ethic, Hey, what on earth did I do to you? You don't know me so how dare you say that someone else may have a better work ethic I couldn't work harder than I do and I give 100% to both my schools. That was a completely unnecessary and hurtful remark. AND I didn't say I was better than him, just that he wasn't better than me.
