It's not letting me open that file...

 

what security permissions are set on it? if you can't open it, it could possibly be that PHPmyadmin can't read it either. take a look online and see if there is some documentation as to the correct permissions - I presume something like read/write for www-data (if its the same on windows as linux)

It's because it can't open the file... Ive opened it with wordpad & seen the password bit empty do I've input it & saved but it's not made a difference.

Would uninstalling it all make a difference?

possibly but it depends if it will actually remove the files - I would set the permissions on the file to everybody read on that file first to test.

Tried what you've said, tried uninstalling & deleting all the files & then reinstalling... Still no joy :(

When I'm home i'll boot my vm and install XAMPP and have a play - I'm not 100% sure how its works - out of interest what OS did you install on? Win 7? XP?

When I first installed it was all fine, it's when I got to the bit in the guide where it says go on localhost/xibo & that's where all the problems started
