I've got a Sanyo PLC-SE20A with a dodgy fan that screams louder than the teacher can speak once it gets ramped up.

Does anyone have a source for replacement projector fans?

The part in question is a 12v / 0.3a fan made by Matsushita Electric, pn: FAL3F12LUSD.

Needless to say, it's laughably out of warranty.

Try CPC Plc, they stock a large range of fans and as the one you want is most prob a generic one then they should be able to help but you do need an account with them. We buy headphones, mics and various other goodies so it makes it worthwhile us having an account.

Hope this helps.

This projector is about 5 years old and has already been cleaned once. It had a new bulb in about 3 months ago. When I switch it on the the power starts and then after about 10 seconds it goes off and the red warning light comes on. I was told by the support at Sanyo that it probably needs a new fan, however that will cost me in the region of £275 to get it repaired by them. I was wondering if anybody knows how to do it myself and where to get a fan from.

Thanks, Alison
