kai91 Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 We have just taken over the running of a exchange server 2007 box that is running on server 2003r2 but we are unable to send email externally. we are able to send email internally still. Can anyone help? Thanks Kai
glennda Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 look at the exchange send connector under organisational and Hub Transport - it is probably trying to forward to a smart host which is unreachable.
DrPerceptron Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 what's mentioned in the Queue Viewer? they should all be backing up in there with a reason why the queue isn't working. Is your AV blocking access to port 25?
sukh Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 What happens when you try to send an email? In the queues? NDR? Has it ever worked? Got a Send connector?
jamesreedersmith Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 Is there a firewall blocking outbound port 25?
kai91 Posted March 24, 2012 Author Posted March 24, 2012 thanks for all the help guys it was a problem with the send connector that caused it.
