stevenlong1985 Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 I really Hope this is real! ---- Please take my money!
Garacesh Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 Read about this in the Metro on the way to work today.. My first thought was "Shut up and take my money!" Looks very remarkable.. A real experience. I wonder what the production cost was and if a similar concept will ever be inplimented for military/law enforcement etc reasons. I expect this to impact the thrillseeking market quite a deal.
LeightonJames Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 as much as i want to believe this is real i have to say FAKE! The side shot when he is taking off makes me think it is fake as it just doesn't look real enough.
Gerry Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 Excuse me while I turn off the alarm on my bull excrement radar... Like LeightonJames said, the side shot at takeoff is extremely dodgy. The way his legs go back... he's only going a few knots, so he's spending a huge amount of effort to keep a straight posture!
Garacesh Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 Hmm.. After looking beyond my original excitement I'm more inclined to believe this is a fake. Firstly, 14/14. How'd he know he'd achieve flight in exactly 14 videos? Secondly, the takeoff and landing aren't amazingly visible. Plus, This...
CyberNerd Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 A 'media art project' says the author == HOAX Dutch filmmaker admits faking viral 'human bird wing' video | Fox News
SYNACK Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 Total fake as proven by the guy admitting to it but you could have picked it way earlier with some basic math/science. The wingspan was too small for the weight, arms alone can't provide that kind of power, flap rate too slow, flap motion was just up and down etc. etc.
