Never had a problem with Acers but not had a lot.

Always find Ergo to be good, think half of ours are them now and only ever had 2 go wrong, and they were fixed next day under waranty.

Up until recently I would have recommended either Apple or Dell but now I can't bring myself to.

Both sets of laptops seem to suffer horribly from being too flimsy for students. Apple keys simply won't stay on the keyboard and Dell D620s are extremely fragile compared to the D600/D610s which they replaced.

It's a shame as both laptops are good, if you're careful with them!

That's where we got our laptops, trolley safe and chargers from. Good spec, and best of all, they have glass screen fronts helping them to be more hard wearing.

Your welcome, You will find there tech support is 1st class.

p.s. haggle like hell with the sales team and you will get a fantastic price :) speaking from experience teehee

They are always open to negotiation but I have never really had to as I have been dealing with them for almost 6 years now and have built up a terrrific relationship with them.

Haggling is something I really don't want to have to do, a price should be when you ask it shouldn't be necessary to barter, we're not buying something from a market for God's sake.

I will always try and haggle to get the best price possible. I have to admit that I do like that bit of the job :)

No, I normally try and go down the "blag a freebie" as I find that works quite well.
