Having some issues with the silverlight edition choice overlapping the Beta MyFiles advert when you open MyComputer.aspx

I would upload a picture but Edugeek is not playing nicely at all today - shout me if you need a picture :)

I've been running it as the default on my test server for some time too :)

Once i've run through all of the features i'll make the switch, but i really like the idea of allowing the kids/staff to get a peak before i roll it over. It's a great way of introducing change!

No issues yet though :)

"The MyFiles browser is pretty much feature complete, you could (like I've done) switch completely over to the v8 version"

Hi Nick, Sorry to jack into this thread... how would we go about doing this? what needs adding so it auto uses the new v8 my files browser???

Cheers

You just need to change the links that point to the old my computer browser to /myfiles/

sorry for being numb... is this in the setup.aspx setup or in the scripts?

Webstuff isn't my strong point sadly haha

Hi Nick,

I've got the beta myfiles working and I must say it's a vast visual improvement on the extended. There is a snag tho. While admins are free to upload/download files, staff & pupils get challenged with a restricted filetype box. This doesn't happen with either the html or extended file browsers. Can you think of a reason this might be happening?

thanks in advance
