Looking at the spreadsheet Arthur linked to, you can filter GPOs to just Windows 8. There's quite a number and finally Microsoft are allowing certain directories and not just all directories to be available offline.

If I filter it down to Windows 7, there are only 4 GPOs. So are Microsoft only going to port back just 4 new settings and nothing more?

Are you referring to the GPOs listed under "At least Microsoft Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 family"?

There will probably be more once MS update the spreadsheet for Windows 8 RP/RTM and Windows 7/2008 R2 SP2.

On the WindowsServer8BetaandWindows8ConsumerPreviewGroupPolicySettings.xlsx file, navigate to the Admin Template tab at the bottom, then scroll right to the Support On column. Untick Select All, then select At least Microsoft Windows 7...

This is where I see just 4 new GPOs.
