This is just a heads up really if anyone is using the HP 1010 or 1012 and IE9.

You may find users are receiving an error when they print anything from IE9.

Apparently the solution to this is to change the 1010 driver to the HP 3055 or get the user to use chrome or firefox. For some reason MS have stopped supporting this printer with IE9.

Ok, i may have to go back on what i said, I tried the 3055 drivers and found that the printer just gave up and decided to print "unsupported Personality: PCL".

So we are now trying the HP LaserJet 1100 and all seems ok at the moment

Yessh, i am finding that now. They were ok on XP. On win7 i managed to find a work around to get the document to print quickly but now IE9 is stopping supporting them, you have to use a different driver. After a while, you have to turn the printer off and back on to clear the buffer otherwise you get an unsupported personality:PCL error.

Well, it seems that the Local Area Network (LAN) settings might have to be rechecked. Verify your LAN settings, and if any problems are found, please restore the default settings. Disable incompatible browser features.

1. Click the Start button on your Taskbar.

2. Type "inetcpl.cpl" in the Search textbox.

3. Press the ENTER key of your keyboard.

4. Click Connections | LAN Settings.

5. Uncheck the three checkboxes dispalyed in the dialog.

6. Click OK twice.
