Hi,

One of our computer lab used for exams has 30 windows 7 domain computers. Is there any way to auto logon to these 30 computers with the single user account.

We need to do this on the Exam day and currently we go through each computer and type username and password.

All computers will be logged on with single user account.

I'd second Impero... We've had to do similar things here for exams / courses, and that's a great way of getting it done quickly... (though it's not free, it has other impressive benefits)

We have netsupport here on our computer labs pc's, if ever there is an event or exam that requires a single logon i just use that to do it. Like impero though it is a paid product but has multiple uses and gets used regularly by the ICT teachers for monitoring and assisting.

Looks like all the recommendations (impero, italc, netsupport) are kind of classroom management software; we have something similar called NetOP School 6; Can NetOp do this?

If you having a product like Impero I say use that.

If not, I guess you could use Group Policy Preference to push out the registy value to autologon to the computers. Just make sure you set the policy the day before at the end of the day and the machines get powered off at night so the policy applies. Then when the exams are finished use GPP to delete the auto logon registry value.

Will work if having nothing else.
